We are Amy, Clyde, Reese, and Maddox, and we are the owners of Lavender Near Me, a lavender farm located in Whitewater, Wisconsin. We started our farm in 2017, planted 860 plants in 2020, and planted another 640 plants in 2023, for a total of 1300 plants and five varieties! We specialize in dried culinary lavender buds with various flavor profiles. We open once a year to the public for a "U-Pick" event. What doesn't get harvested by the public, we harvest, bundle, dry, clean, and package for sale. We pride ourselves in providing education to farm guests all about lavender and its resourcefulness. We deeply care about the integrity of our environment, farm, and culinary buds, meaning no chemicals are used on or near our products. Please feel free to visit our farm during our annual "U-Pick" or the best culinary lavender buds may be purchased by contacting us directly!
Our sweetest of culinary lavender buds varieties. Melissa, has a sweet taste profile and is especially good when used for making baked goods such as desserts, lemonade, cocktails, and teas. Simple syrups made with Melissa is a must! It is very light in color - white-lilac in hue and turns white-gray when dried.
The middle of the road. Folgate culinary lavender buds have a slightly sweet, yet savory flavor profile and is especially good when used for making bread, baked desserts, and spreads. Rim your martini glasses with lavender sugar made with Folgate and it won't disappoint. This is one of our personal favorites due to its versatility and great deep blue-purple hue color when dried.
The most savory of culinary lavender buds varieties. Royal Velvet has a strong, camphor and savory flavor profile and is especially good when used for herbs de' provence blends, seasoning meat, and enhancer for mead, and beer. A magnificent color with brute flavor.
